Who Am I?

I am a UX/UI designer with a mission to find purpose in design. I am passionate about design and the retail environment's hastening on-line evolution. I am a Marketing Professional, Graphic Artist, Interior Design Masters Graduate, and Writer. I am a problem solver and even more importantly a problem finder. Throughout all of my projects, my design choices are informed by research, the user's needs, and the overall experience.

I have strong verbal and written communications abilities and am a keenly analytical person with the ability to see patterns and connections within the big picture.

Original Research

My Graduate Thesis, EFFECTS OF DRESSING ROOM LIGHTING DIRECTION ON CONSUMERS’ PERCEPTIONS OF SELF AND ENVIRONMENT, focused on the power of design and was published in the JOURNAL OF INTERIOR DESIGN. It was, at least for the first few years after its publication, one of the TOP PAID DOWNLOADS for the journal.

In the POPULAR ARTICLE, I investigated an overlooked part of the user's retail experience and found quantifiable results that dressing room lighting makes a substantial difference not only in user perception but in intent to purchase. My article has informed new lighting products and is continually referenced in new research and literature. READ MORE

Awards

As a Graduate Student in Interior Design, I won the nationally competitive 2007 GENSLER BRINKMAN SCHOLARSHIP and Internship for my original Coffee Shop design. As part of the project, I created a branding, marketing, and merchandising strategy all informed by the brand identity. The project was therefore a fully realized business entity that took the full design experience into account.

I was also a finalist in another Student Retail Design Competition the same year for a Children's Toy Store and have won other interior design department awards for my continued successes in the program.
